Arsenal Transfer News: Gabriel Paulista gets Work Permit

Arsenal's new signing Gabriel Paulista, reportedly by ESPN, has been granted the work permit today which was proving to be the only hindrance in compl ion of this move. The fee is believed to be in the region of £13.8 mn. As mentioned in earlier post, Joel Campbell is also part of this deal which will take him to Villarreal on loan till the end of the season.
Arsene Wenger confirmed has confirmed while talking to media after 3-2 FA Cup forth round win over Brighton that the move might be completed on Monday saying "It’s on the line and I think we’ll get over the line tonight and tomorrow."
The player will have, as usual with all the moves, a medical today and the announcement may come any time from Arsenal.
It will be interesting to see how Wenger uses this centre half with current pairing of Koscielny & Mertesacker have started to flourish again as a partnership in recent matches. Nonetheless, its a good dilemma for the boss to have considering how we have had been forced to put all the possible combinations of back four so far.
And yes, after progressing in the FA Cup with all the big teams losing this week, the new defender can definetly help us in retaining OUR cup and winning more trophies this season! On this note, will like to inform you that the draw for the next round of the competition will be held tonight.
Let's see whats in store for us!
