Arsenal defeats Brentford in a surprise friendly

Arsenal played and defeated Brentford 4-0 in a friendly which almost everyone was unaware of including me. What was even more surprising was Abou Diaby's involvement in the match held at London Colney behind closed doors.

Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Debuchy, Mathieu Flamini and Krystian Bielik also featured in the game. It was arranged to kill-time during the international break and giving game-time to the players returning from injury.

There was no updates on Abou's fitness besides being counted injured like always. But he played and created the first goal which was scored by Wilshere. The second goal was scored by Crowley set up by Jack and then Jebb scored a brace before the end of first half. Arteta, Diaby and Wilshere were substituted during half time while Debuchy completed 60 minutes of play.

As things stand taking this match in account, Arsenal has every player fit (sounds surreal though) and available to play except Chamberlain who is out due to hamstring but will be back sooner rather than later and Welbeck who maybe available for the game on Saturday. On the other hand, their weekend's opponent Liverpool has all sort of troubles and will be forced to field an assembled XI instead of first choice players.

Nonetheless, its good position for Arsenal to be in while starting the final sprint of this season.

Extra: Francis Coquelin was present among the handful audience to see his team-mates play.
