Benik Afobe Departure and Bielik Goof-up

As I said it yesterday about possible departure of Benik Afobe, ah well, the move got completed with fee reported to be in the region of £2 million (fractionally short of what we are reported to pay for Bielik - £2.4 mn) despite of him never making a first team appearance. Good Business from our side! He is a product of the academy, a Graduate of Hale End and was with the club since the age of 8. He featured in some pre-season friendlies and was sent on loan to various club with mixed fortunes. But the last loan stint was very productive as he scored 19 goals in 30 apps for MK Dons. His performance caught the eye of the wolves who offered him a permanent contract with promise of first team football. As a youngster, he was tipped for big things but now let's see if he can fulfill his potential with his new club.
Now an update on Krystian Bielik. Someone got impatient or perhaps for some fun went to Wikipedia and stated that he has joined Arsenal despite of move yet to be completed. The Polish media were reporting that the fee has been agreed and deal is imminent. I Hope it gets done by the weekend!!!
Besides, there are rumours flying that Arsenal has made a €63 million bid for Borussia Dortmund Duo of Hummels and Gundogan. Well, we do need a Centre Half and a Defensive Midfielder but I don't see any truth in it knowing how Wenger works in January window.
Finally something from our current lot of players now. Özil was talking about the art of play making. He said “Before you get the ball, you think about where your team-mates and the opposition are likely to be.” “I have an idea of where my team-mates are when I receive possession, and where they could run. Of course what happens next depends on them as well as me. If they make runs into space or we think along the same lines, I can play the pass. But if I see the gap and they don’t run into it, you can’t play the pass. We have so much quality going forward. We have players with a lot of pace, who think about what’s going to happen and that makes it easier. You have to think before you receive the ball, because the game now is so intense and quick. It wouldn’t work otherwise.”
