Arsenal announce signing of Gabriel Paulista

   It was well known since Sunday but still as they say, It doesn't end unless the fat lady sings. And finally Arsenal announced the signing of Gabriel Paulista today for undisclosed fee. They never disclose the fee but we all know what's his cost - £11.5 million + Add-on/incentive + Joel Campbell on loan.
   They also confirmed that he's been granted the work permit and deal is now subject to completion of regulatory formalities. Though the squad number is yet to be given but since he is here to replace departed Thomas Vermaelen, he may wear now unoccupied number 5 jersey. That's end of Paulista transfer saga.
   But that's not it! There was a surprise in store regarding Joel Campbell. They announced that he has signed a new long term deal before departing to yellow submarine. His current deal was set to expire at the end of last season. I doubt whether its about Wenger's faith in the player or just a move to secure their investment? Time will tell but whatever it is, seems to be very sensible piece of business by ever-savvy management.
