Its a derby-day in north London. Arsenal visits their neighbour Tottenham Hotspurs at White Hart Lane to get the victory and sustain their premier league title challenge. It is the 3rd and final North London Derby of the season. The previous two at Emirates were won by the Gunners with scoreline of 1-0 and 2-0 respectively.
Both the teams go in to this game on contrasting form. Arsenal have played Everton and Bayern and have registered a win and a draw with scoreline of 4-1 and 1-1 respectively. On the other hand, Spurs faced defeat against Chelsea and Benfica with scoreline reading 0-4 and 1-3.However as the track record suggests, this stats have nothing to do with the derby games. This has always been proved to be the most unpredictable fixture of the lot.
TEAM AVAILABILITY: Arsenal are facing an injury crisis with especially midfield severly affected. First team starters Wilshere, Ramsey & Ozil all are out for 3-6 weeks. However there is some respite with deadline-day signing Kim Kallstrom back in contention. Gibbs is a doubt but Monreal is back. Yaya Sonogo is also back after missing the trip to Munich. So the depth of the team is going to be seriously tested in the coming weeks. Finally the starting XI will look something like this
Szczesny; Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal; Arteta, Flamini/Oxlade-Chamberlain, Rosicky, Santi, Podolski; Giroud
A victory for Gunners will keep them in contention and will almost finish off the Spurs season. Whereas a loss will diminish their already slim hopes of the title.
