Arsenal take on Everton in the QFs of the FA Cup on Saturday at the Emirates stadium. As the season also enters the final run-in, it is the most opportune moment to get the victory and momentum back with the team. Gunners play 3 games of 3 different competition in this week. 3 victories will keep title hopes alive, but equal losses will dash almost all the hopes of Titles.
Team availability: As Wenger said in press conference, Koscielny is a doubt, Ramsey, Kallstrom are also out and Wilshere is out for at least 6 weeks besides long term absentees Diaby and Walcott.
Arsenal has an excellent record in the FA Cup QFs. They have only lost once in 11 appearances and most recently against Manchester United in 2011 (l. 2-0). Their home form has been excellent this season losing just two games in all domestic competitions. Adding to that, they have only failed to score against Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Manchester United this whole season.
Though Arsenal has played one of their most difficult home match against Everton in December when Ozil's goal was cancelled out by Barca loanee Gerard Deulofeu, Everton does not posses a good record at Emirates. They are winless in 19 games at Emirates.
Playing XI: Wenger has hinted a start for Ozil in this game. He has also used his reserve strikers and Keepers for Knock-out games this season and this trend is almost certain to be continued. An injury to Koscielny also means game time for Vermaelen. So finally team will look something like this:
Fabianski; Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs; Arteta/Flamini/Oxlade-Chamberlain; Gnabry/Rosicky, Santi/Ozil, Podolski; Bendtner/Sanogo
