Arsenal vs Chelsea Pre game thoughts

Mesut Ozil fending off Cesc Fabregas
Lads, the most awaited match of the month is upon us! The blues of west London travels north to play Arsenal in one of the biggest derby of the season. Chelsea will bring the cult to his old hunting ground for the first time since joining their bus and is certain of unwelcoming and hostile reception. (will be surprised if he doesn't get one)

Though the League title is all but done, the stakes remain as high as a 1st vs 2nd clash deserves. Reason for that are many. Besides the return of Fabregas, the Wenger-Mourinho rivalry is the main attraction of the evening.

Arsenal are one of the most in-form team of the continent and have brushed aside the challenge of heavyweights like Man Utd and Liverpool in their demolishing run of 8 wins in all competitions. They are well equipped to face all kind of oppositions and are at par in quality in every aspect of the game in comparison with Chelsea. They have Hazard and we have Sanchez. For their Matic, we've got Coquelin.

Both the teams are generating results week-in week-out. But the quality of the performance has been differing. Arsenal has an upper hand in that regard. They are playing free flowing football for which they are renowned on Planet. But Chelsea are more shrewd and know how to get the right result without playing any real style of football.

When it comes to facing a top-4 team away from Stamford bridge, the only thing they know is Bus parking. They abandon all the styles of football and adapt the most annoying way of extreme defending. But the gunners have experience of beating such similar set-up when they visited Monaco in UCL.

Arsene is likely to start the same time that defeated Burnley with Debuchy likely to be the only change. Ramsey will be on right wing to provide cover and nullify the threat of Hazard. Or he may switch Sanchez on there with Ozil on left. in that case, Santi will play behind Giroud and Rambo may partner Coquelin in middle. The doubt on Per has vanished as he was spotted in training and should partner Koscielny at back. Gibbs didn't do enough to cause problems for Wenger so Monreal is certain at LB.

Final Word. A high quality game on card. Any team may win. 0-0 is very very likely since they are Chelsea. But Giroud/Sanchez are my pick for the goal. 3 points is the numerical value of the win but other than that it will break the jinx and show that Arsenal, indeed, has made significant and visible progress.

COME ON YOU GUNNERS! Lets paint the London with Red.
