Arsenal vs Burnley Preview

The Arsenal camp is a happy one and reason for that are obvious. A big win against a big team and a winning run of 7 games in all competition. The return of injured players and a Wembley trip next week are contributor to the cause.

Before that, they visit Burnley. Its not a daunting task but any damage due to complacency should be avoided. Wenger has already warned his players regarding the challenge they'll have to face from the relegation battlers.

The Clarets play direct football in 4-4-2 formation. They have taken points of Tottenham, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea this season. Last weekend against spurs, the were pressing and attempting to win balls in advanced positions so defenders will have to pass and move the ball quickly.

They boast of some good players in their squad and Danny Ings is one of them. He is on target of many teams and his certainty of playing in the Premier League next term is more than that of his team.

Wenger doesn't like tinkering with his winning combination. So today he is likely to field the same XI that humiliated Liverpool at the Emirates. Koscielny is a doubt but he was spotted in training. Anyways, we have Gabriel who can deputise in his absence.
Starting XI: Ospina, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny/Gabriel, Monreal, Coquelin, Ramsey, Cazorla, Özil, Sanchez, Giroud

The real headache will be to select the bench. He has 14 players out of which only 7 can be named. He also needs to integrate the players returning from injury. So it will be interesting to see who gets the nod.

Final word. An Arsenal win for sure (and Giroud to score). But it may not come easy. We may get heart attacks like we got against QPR, Palace, etc. Hope you survive. 2-1
