Arsenal vs West Ham United Match Preview

Arsenal host West Ham United today in their 29th EPL clash of the season. Sitting 3rd in the table with 54 points and just 4 points behind city, they are in fine form with 7 league wins out of 8 and are favorite for the win.

They enter this game in a positive frame of mind courtesy of 2-1 win at Old Trafford on Monday. They are also boosted by return of Flamini in superficial central midfield. But have lost Chamberlain for 3-4 weeks. His loss should not be troublesome considering presence of all the offensive players. Rest all player's status remains same as last week.

The history of this fixture has been all Arsenal in the past few years. The hammers are winless in their past 13 games against the mighty gunners losing last 8 in a row. Adding to their plight, they are on a run of 6 winless games in the league.

But they have played some very good football in that time. They almost defeated Spurs at the lane and United at home but conceded the equalizers on the mark of 90 minute or late to share the points. They boast some of the good players in form of Alex Song, Cheikhou Kouyate and Diafra Sakho. Plus a game plan to suffocate their opposition for space as they showed against Spurs, MU and Chelsea. So underestimating them would be very costly.

Walcott has 5 goals and 3 asissts in 4 PL games

In his presser yesterday, Wenger was talking about rotation. Now with options available, he can do that without disturbing balance of the team. If I would have been in his place, I would bring Ramsey on for Cazorla in the Central Midfield. Reason for that is simple; the Spaniard has played almost every week since the start of the season.

The other forceful change from last game should be Walcott on for the Ox. The pacy Winger has found game time wanting but should make the cut for the day and play on the right side of attack. Giroud should return upfront and finally Ospina should return in goal.

I foresee a tough and physically demanding game with a 2-0 win for the gunners in this London derby. Walcott and Giroud to be on target.
