Arsenal 3-0 West Ham United Thoughts from the Game

It was a complete performance by the Gunners who outplayed the Hammers 3-0 to win the 3 points yesterday with goals from Giroud, Ramsey and Flamini (you read it right, its Flamini). This win coupled with 2nd placed Man City's loss to Burnley has cut the gap to just 1 point in the EPL standings. Besides this, there were many good things to takeaway from the game. Here are few of those.

Olivier Giroud
Giroud's Response
Not everyone expected this kind of response from him but there has been a massive improvement when his overall performance is taken into account justified by stat that he has scored 14 goals in 24 games this season. And considering his form, there is surely more to come. MOTM
HFB had a forgettable match against Monaco in first leg of the UCL R16 clash. But since then, he has scored 3 goals in 3 starts including yesterday's strike. He assisted Ramsey for his goal and was also involved playing 1-2 with Santi who crossed it to the back post setting up easy tap in for Flamini.

Performance of Ramsey and Koscielny
Both of them played like their old self and put up a complete performance. Ramsey covered almost every blade of the grass besides contributing with a goal and an assist. He shot 4 times, created 5 chances, won 3 tackles and intercepted 3 times.
Koscielny bosses the defence very well. He made 9 interceptions, 1 tackle and 3 clearances. His passing was also good with 92.7% accuracy attempting 68 passes. We need this similar performance from duo when we face Monaco.

Belief for Monaco
Talking of Monaco clash, Arsenal are in desperate position. They need to win 3-0 against them to progress to Quarters. Performance like this one will give them belief that they can make a miraculous comeback. Though Monaco won't be as easy as WHU, but they have confidence that they can win and go through.
Since the defeat at Emirates to Monaco, Gunners have won 4 out of 4 including victory at Old Trafford. So they have definetly done more than enough to give them mental boost heading into this crunch clash.

   Monaco, Bring it On.
