In the upcoming league encounter, Arsenal host fellow Londoners Leicester City tonight at the Emirates Stadium which they are hoping to win and overcome the disappointment suffered at White Hart Lane.
Prior to the defeat, the team was playing the best football of the season. They were on a run of 5 consecutive wins and brimming with confidence to bulldoze the Spurs. But unfortunately it didn't happen and we suffered a loss. Still, our record since game against ManU in November stands impressive with 12 win, 3 loss and 1 draw in all competitions.
Now in quest of regaining that lost momentum, gunners have been boosted by the return of their talisman Alexis Sanchez who missed the derby due to hamstring injury. Moreover, no casualties were reported from the last game. So all looks good in this department.
Talking of Leicester, they are having a hard time at bottom of the table. They have only registered 4 wins in the league since promotion from Championship last season. Plus the recent speculation of Nigel Pearson being sacked is a good disturbance from football. But he came out and cleared the air saying that all is fine and the spirits among the group is same as before.
Revisiting the last meeting, we played the foxes in August when we scored through Koscielny early in first half and then conceded very soon to level the things. With our struggle for free flowing game, the game ended as a 1-1 draw.
Moving on to present, we are looking good enough to see of their challenge. And our home form in the league is almost guaranting a win. Since our opening day defeat to Aston Villa last season, we have only lost once. So it just sums up what result we'll be getting.
Finally starting XI. The only change I expect can be now-ready-to-start Sanchez but at whose place, will be interesting to see. Wenger will also be having other dilemma regarding starting berth for Rosicky in place of Ramsey who had a very disappointing afternoon at neighborhood on Saturday and other choices in attacking department which is now operating at near-full strength. Rest all should retain their place at the back.
Anyways let's see that tonight and enjoy the game.
