Thierry Henry and Former Gunners
"Thierry Henry is making his first steps as a coach. It's good for our youngsters to be coached by him. He's been here once or twice." ~The club legend began coaching the youth teams at Hale End Academy this week.
"All our former players are welcome to come back here and get their coaching badges. We are happy to have Henry here"
Santi Cazorla
Yesterday Palace boss Alan Pardew reckoned the little Magician as a front runner for player of the season. Wenger agrees and said "Until now he has been the most consistent and since he has moved to the centre, his influence has been bigger. He has been voted player of the month twice."
Recently he has also been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, Frenchman responded "He extended his contract last year. I don't think there's anything to worry about, we've not been approached."
Cheers Gooners!!!
Crystal Palace and Maroune Chamakh
On facing the Eagles, "It's always very intense, an old-fashioned stadium at Palace and the crowd is always completely behind their team so we expect a passionate afternoon. They have found confidence again and have got positive results with their new management."
Arsene let the Moroccan leave in summer of 2013 after he went into oblivion at the Emirates. But since his move to South London, he has started to flourish again. "He lost confidence at Arsenal. I'm happy he's got a good career at Crystal Palace now."
Luis Figo
The Portuguese legend is running for FIFA presidency and revealed his manifesto at the Wembley yesterday. "It's interesting to see former players run for the campaign and dedicate their lives to improving the game's quality" ~La Professuer has always been supportive of the idea of former players coming into the football administration.
Racism
During the midweek UCL tie, some racist fans of Chelsea created a scene at Paris Metro. Wenger describing it as 'pathetic', gave thoughts on this subject too, "It loked pathetic and dreadful - unfortunately we have all kinds of that but we have to be extremely severe with any incident of that calibre. It is society's problem. Nobody has found a miraculous solution but it starts from childhood and education. There is a danger of radical people in every society - there is always a number of people ready for radical solutions and you have to find a way to deal with that."
That's all
